I was blown away by the beauty of this piece, and have used it to make small stews in the oven. I was a bit hesitant about the price, but the performance and the quality (heft) have convinced me to add more Staub pieces to my collection.

I have the 7 Quart Staub which I like very much so ordered this 2.5 Quart size for smaller tasks.
I have been very happy with this purchase. It was delivered promptly and in perfect condition. For breakfast my oatmeal cooks quickly at low temperature. Cooking brown rice is aided by the tight cover and the steam drips back into the pot causing the rice to be well cooked before the fluid is gone. I have also used it for baking bread with good results.
It is heavy which I'm sure helps it achieve the excellent results.

Love it! This is the perfect size for dinner for two or for a side dish. We have a larger Staub but sometimes you don't want to make too much.
