I think this duvet is very beautiful, and it's just as pictured. My only problem was it is extremely heavy. While I was sleeping I could barely move it felt like there were weights on top of me. Any one who might be claustrophobic should consider not purchasing this. It had me sweating pretty seriously and it's the winter, well into the 20's last night. I should not be sweating. My husband is due to come home from his deployment this weekend, I know he is going to hate it simply for that fact. He already overheats at night, let alone with a heavy, heavy blanket on top.

What a genius idea - a coverlet and duvet cover in one. I ordered the king size in ivory, and it's beautiful. I had wanted a duvet cover originally, since I wanted something I could wash, but down comforters are too hot for my husband in the summertime. This is a perfect compromise! We've been using it for a week or so, and I've already machine washed it with great results. It looks like a quilt, and it's not as satin-y as I was worried it would be. Just looks like a high-end cotton quilt. I love the shams, but they are a bit awkward to put on since the zipper is along the bottom and doesn't go all the way to the ends. But otherwise, this is a great product. I look forward to filling it with a duvet in the wintertime.

I have purchased many duvet covers in the past 40+ years, but this is THE BEST. I was concerned about the appearance in the picture that is would be too "shiny," but after reading the other reviews I decided to purchase it.
And as stated, it does NOT have a shine. Mine is ivory, and it is a color that does not conflict with other shades of off white, or even white. The material and workmanship are top grade. I purchased it on a Sunday and it arrived the following Thursday. I wish I could justify purchasing another one!
